Victor RabotRetail Sales Manager
Victor joined Sotheby’s in July 2016. He is a French citizen, having grown-up in Agen (in South West of France), and has been living in Hong Kong since 2011, when he came to work for Jebsen Fine Wines in their private/corporate division.
His passion for wine started in 2005 after a trip to discover Chateauneuf-du-Pape and the Southern Rhone. After High School, he decided to pursue his passion and spent two years studying wine making and viticulture in Saint-Emilion. Victor has a Bachelor Degree and an MBA in Wine Marketing and Management from Bordeaux International Wine Institute (Part of INSEEC Group). His studies allowed him to work in different wine regions of France, from Bordeaux (at Chateau Pape-Clement) to Bandol.
Victor is always open to discover new producers and regions, but his favourite is the Rhone Valley. Victor also enjoys looking for new culinary adventures and he spends his spare time doing photography.
Vivian LiangRetail Sales Manager
A Hotel Management graduate, Vivian fell in love with wine during her grand tour traveling around Australia. The wine seed burst into a huge passion which has also become her career. Vivian has worked for some of Hong Kong’s most established wine merchants before joining Sotheby's. Vivian recently acquired her WSET Level 4 Diploma and she is more than ready to share her knowledge of fine wine to help build your cellar or selecting a perfect bottle for dinner. Vivian has also organized many special events and would be delighted to arrange something that is tailor made for you.
Vivian is always keen on finding emerging producers and regions, but often finds herself drinking classic Burgundy, vintage Champagne, bone-dry Riesling and the wonderful wine from Brunello di Montalcino. Other than exploring the world of wine, Vivian practises yoga and is an amateur photographer. If you don't find her on the mat or in the street capturing Hong Kong's evolving scenes and its people, she will be hiking the city's many great trails.
Kamryn LeeRetail Sales Associate
Kamryn, who is an Art graduate of The University of Hong Kong, credits much of her decision to begin her adventure in the world of wine down to a casual wine dinner organized by her French professor. This sparked her interest which was reaffirmed by taking WSET Level 2 and she is currently studying for her Level 3.
Prior to working at Sotheby's Wine, Kamryn worked as a Wine Advisor for Watson’s Wine. Having the experience of organizing tasting events and exchanging ideas with winery owners and customers, she found herself enthusiastic in sharing wine knowledge with other wine lovers.
With her motto of ‘keep experiencing life’, Kamryn is always exhilarated to explore different wine styles and she has a deep appreciation for terroir-driven wines. Her favorites are those with delicate elegance and usually from Piedmont and Burgundy.
Believing the city is gorged with extraordinary people and stories, Kamryn loves to see herself a tourist in Hong Kong. You can always find her capturing the rhythms of the city with a camera; or discovering great food on a street corner.
Head of Sotheby's Wine, Asia
Adam joined Sotheby's in the summer of 2015 after over a decade with England's oldest Wine Merchant, Berry Bros. & Rudd. After catching the wine bug working at his local wine shop whilst studying, he decided a career in wine was for him. Soon after he started working at Berrys and over the years he has worked in many facets of the wine industry for them. In 2003 Adam had a two year stint working under the tutelage of the late Dr Bailey Carrodus of Yering Vineyard in Australia's Yarra Valley, learning hands on the vine growing and winemaking process – an invaluable experience. After crashing one too many tractors Adam moved back to the UK but soon found himself in Hong Kong, (as Sales Director for Berrys), where he has lived for the last five years.
Adam's wine preferences tend to change month by month and is more than willing to explore any new region and style. That said, his wine fridge at home will consistently be home to red Burgundy and the wines from Chambolle-Musigny in particular. With the muggy weather German Riesling is a mainstay though fino sherry also has its place. Outside of enjoying too much wine Adam is a very keen sportsman and claims to be one of the best amateur goalkeepers in Hong Kong. If not found on the football pitch Adam will be found hiking or running one of Hong Kong's great trails.
