Sotheby’s Wine hosts many different types of events throughout the year and our team also attend important tastings, dinners and wine-trade events around the world. We have listed below upcoming events.
We are frequently asked to create special tastings or dinners for clients. Each event is individually tailored to the specific requirements. We start by discussing the wine theme, knowledge of the participants and the budget. From there we create a unique event, with a speaker from our team who will both educate and entertain you. Please contact us if you would like to organize an event.
Anyone can attend any of our wine auctions in Hong Kong, London or New York – they are free and fun. In Hong Kong, we use a restaurant layout, with round tables, and serve wine and food throughout the auction, whether the auction takes place at our offices or the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. If you cannot attend the auction, you can still participate by looking at the online catalogue, leaving absentee bids, registering to bid online or by telephone. In Hong Kong, we hold four to five series of sales each year.
We are proud to support a number of different causes, in various different ways, throughout the year. Our wine auctioneers donate their time, advice and auctioneering skills to a diverse group of charities and have helped raise millions of dollars at benefit auctions for art institutions, educational programs, health foundations and a variety of similar organizations.
Every year, there are important events where the wine world gets together to taste wines and do business. We have listed the most important ones below. Please note that many of these only allow those in the wine business to attend.
